يعد التعليم الصناعي عصب الصناعة، ومصدراً لتوفير العمالة الماهرة والفنية في مختلف الصناعات، كما يعد هذا التعليم أحد المحاور الأساسية لاستراتيجية التجارة والصناعة المنبثقة عن رؤية مصر 2030.
هذا وأصبح التعليم الفني الصناعي في ضوء تعميق التصنيع المحلي مطالباً بتخريج نوعية جديدة من الخريجين يمتلكون مهارات عالية الجودة، ولديهم القدرة على التعليم المستمر، وتطوير قدراتهم بما يتوافق ومتطلبات المنتج المصري.
وتستهدف هذه الدراسة التحليل البيئي لواقع التعليم الفني الصناعي، ومعرفة اتجاهات عرض خريجي هذا التعليم والطلب المتوقع عليهم، ومناقشة دور هذا التعليم في الصناعة والتنمية، واستخلاص الدروس المستفادة من النماذج الدولية والاتجاهات المعاصرة في تحسين وإصلاح التعليم الفني الصناعي في مصر ثم طرح مقترح تخطيطي استراتيجي للارتقاء بهذا التعليم في ضوء تعميق التصنيع المحلي. ولتحقيق ما تقدم من أهداف ومحتوى فقد استعانت هذه الدراسة بالمنهج الوصفي، وأسلوب SWOT.
وانتهت الدراسة بعرض بعض المتطلبات التي تمثل اعتبارات أساسية لازمة لتفعيل دور التعليم الفني الصناعي في تعميق التصنيع المحلي.
  aIndustrial education is the backbone of industry and a source for providing skilled and technical labor in various industries. This education is also one of the main axes of the trade and industry strategy emanating from Egypt’s Vision 2030.
In light of the deepening of local industrialization, technical and industrial education became a requirement to graduate a new type of graduates who possess high-quality skills and could continue education and develop their capabilities in line with the requirements of the Egyptian product.
This study aims at the environmental analysis of the reality of technical and industrial education، knowing the trends in the supply of graduates of this education and the expected demand for them, discussing the role of this education in industry and development and extracting lessons learned from international models and contemporary trends in improving and reforming technical and industrial education in Egypt, then putting forward a strategic planning proposal for upgrading this education in light of the deepening of local industrialization. To achieve the foregoing objectives and content, this study used the descriptive approach and the SWOT method.
